Project description:
|
This project aims to work out a plan to optimise the ecological design of a
commercial area and its application as a pilot scheme. The ecological
dimensions refer not only to the choice of areas (conversion location) and
an environmentally acceptable release of land for building, but also
particularly take the ecological criteria in commercial building and the
technical support and waste disposal into consideration.
|
Current status: |
The project was put into
practice during the summer of 1998 and was ready for application at the end
of 1998. The projected area consists of part of a conversion location with
an area of 5 Ha. and is primarily orientated to use for small commercial
enterprises. Surrounding split areas will be integrated into the project
irrespective of the amount of support funds.
The application of the objectives of the project is dependent on a cooperative
procedure with intensive consultation by experts for the businesses willing to
settle on the land. The choice of advisers took place at the end of 1998. The
consultations for the willing businesses have been in process in close
cooperation with the local council since the beginning of 1999. The results of
the consultations will be part of the contract of sale. The first businesses
opened their doors in the spring of 2000.
Counselling having been exclusively verbal at the outset of the project, the
further course of action has been so far modified that consultation files were
compiled for the different focal points and presented to the businesses
in preparation for the counselling. It is hoped that this initial information
will make the following consultations more effective.
