Project description:
|
"Building - do it yourself made simple" can help to reduce the cost
of building by monitored partnership in self-help groups so that families
with a low income can afford their own homes. There is a need for such
measures in Münster. For this reason, the main committee and the
committee for financial affairs passed a principal resolution in 1998
commissioning the administration to acquire a suitable plot of land and to
begin the project in the near future.
A particular part of the project is the compilation of a feasibility study
which is geared to Münster's demand- and target group-orientated concept
as well as having the qualified accompanying presentation of the future
self-help groups. The concept and experiences will be documented.
In this feasibility study, the demand for this segment of the housing market is
going to be estimated and preparations made for finding and supporting suitable
occupants. The expert monitoring during the building phase serves to support
future house builders and acquires data for optimizing the measures for
self-help groups, especially technical and social aspects.
