Münster (SMS) Münster wächst weiter. Die Stadt rechnet mit einem Wachstum auf über 326 000 Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner bis zum Jahr 2030. Darum sollen die Voraussetzungen dafür geschaffen werden, dass jährlich rund 2000 neue Wohnungen in Münster gebaut werden können.
In der Ausstellung „Planungswerkstatt 2030 – Zukünftige Wohnbaulandentwicklung in Münster“ hat das Amt für Stadtentwicklung, Stadtplanung, Verkehrsplanung Flächen zusammengefasst, die potenziell für eine Bebauung geeignet sind. Die von den städtischen Fachleuten konzipierte Ausstellung ist vom 3. bis 28. September in der Glashalle des Stadthauses 3 am Albersloher Weg 33 zu sehen: montags bis mittwochs von 8 bis 16 Uhr, donnerstags von 8 bis 18 Uhr und freitags von 8 bis 13 Uhr.
Die Ausstellung dokumentiert den nun abgeschlossenen Prozess der „Planungswerkstatt 2030“ sowie die Grundlagen und Rahmenbedingungen der derzeitigen und zukünftigen Baulandentwicklung in Münster. Zum anderen stellt sie allen interessierten Bürgerinnen und Bürgern in einer Gesamtschau die Entwicklungspotenziale in den einzelnen Stadtteilen vor.
Ziel der „Planungswerkstatt 2030“ war, neue bebaubare Flächen im Umfang von 50 bis 70 Hektar für den Wohnungsbau in Münster zu identifizieren. Im Ergebnis wurden über 160 Hektar als gut geeignete Flächen sowie weitere rund 75 Hektar als Reserveflächen bewertet und in das „Wohnsiedlungsflächenkonzept 2030“ überführt, das der Rat der Stadt Münster im Mai beschlossen hatte.
„Nun gilt es, auf dieser Grundlage eine erfolgreiche Wohnsiedlungsentwicklung für die künftige Wohnraumversorgung in Münster zu betreiben. Es freut mich, dass Politik und Verwaltung in enger, konstruktiver Zusammenarbeit dieses Konzept gemeinsam entwickelt haben. Neben dem „Baulandprogramm 2018 - 2025“ liegen der Stadt Münster nun weitere Flächenpotenziale für die zukünftige Wohnbaulandentwicklung bis 2030 vor“, betont Stadtbaurat Robin Denstorff den Stellenwert des Ergebnisses der „Planungswerkstatt 2030“ für die weitere Stadtentwicklung.
