Nach intensiver Vorbereitung durch das Schulamt und den städtischen technischen Dienstleister citeq ist die Schule an der Gutenbergstraße mit weiteren fünf Grundschulen jetzt im Netz. Weitere zehn Schulen werden folgen: In sechs Grundschulen, einer Sonderschule, einer Realschule und einem Gymnasium setzt die Stadt gemäß Ratsauftrag den Medienentwicklungsplan in den kommenden Wochen Schritt für Schritt um.
Auch bei der Bodelschwinghschule wenden Schulamt und citeq ein passgenaues Ausstattungskonzept an. In intensiven Vorgesprächen ging es um individuelle Bedürfnisse von Schulprofil und Unterricht. "So wurde ihr bei der Ausstattung mit Hardware ein umfassender Handlungsspielraum gelassen, um die pädagogische Arbeit so effektiv wie möglich zu unterstützen", erläutert Eugen Rickling vom Schulamt. Auch sorgt das Wartungskonzept der Stadt für die Entlastung der Lehrerschaft: "Sie kann sich unbehelligt von technischen Zusatzaufgaben ihrem Unterrichtsauftrag widmen".
In nur einer Woche wurde neben der reinen Hardwareausstattung ein umfangreiches Schulnetz aufgebaut. Alle Computer sind miteinander vernetzt und besitzen darüber hinaus Internet-Zugang. "Bei der Ausstattung arbeiten wir projektbezogen", betont Norbert Spichala. "Wir arbeiten nicht parallel an mehreren Gebäuden, sondern konzentrieren uns immer nur auf eine Schule mit ihren Wünschen und Bedürfnissen", unterstreicht der citeq-Mitarbeiter das intensive und zeitsparenden Vorgehen.
Und wenn das letzte Kabel verlegt ist und alle Computer laufen - am Ende steht die Schulung der gesamten Lehrerschaft. "Sie bekommt von uns Basiswissen und einen globalen Überblick über das Schulnetz und dessen Strukturen", so Norbert Spichala. Eigene Schulungen richten sich abschließend an jene Lehrerinnen und Lehrer, die sich in den Schulen als so genannte IT-Ansprechpartner besonders für das Lernen mit neuen Medien engagieren.
