For more than 30 years now, I am into HiFi and analogue audio. I think it was between 1975-1977, when I bought my first serious HiFi system, comprising of a Micro Seiki Solid-1 turntable, a Teac A-2003SX tape recorder, a Yamaha CA-V1 integrated amp and a pair of JBL-Speakers. The turntable was changed to a beautiful Micro Seiki DD40 with a Dynavector high output MC in 1978. In the mid of the 80s, I settled on Linn Sondek LP12, to be later equipped with Lingo or Naim Armageddon PSUs and a Naim Aro tonearm. Amps during that time always came from Britain as well, mostly branded Nytech, Musical Fidelity and Naim, while speakers like the first Audioplan Kontrast, ProAc's Tablette, Linn Kan II played the music. While listening to the music, I read the famous German magazine DAS OHR, issued by Klaus Renner. Because of constantly quoting old vintage Living Stereo records there it was only a question of time, when I had many US record dealers to send me their catalogues and records. Based on this expierience, I wrote two small guides about the RCA's Living Stereo und Mercury's Living Presence record series. Somewhat later in the 90s, I met Denis Morecroft, Weber Rehde and the reson-Reuters at the High End-Show in Frankfurt. I got hooked by their interesting and different ideas on HiFi. Soon I changed to a pair of Rehdéko RK115 speakers, driven by Crimson amps and a small reson turntable. Today, my audio system comprises of the equipment as follows:
DNM/reson rota1
• DNM Primus 3C
• DNM PA3D
• Jadis Orchestra
• Rehdéko RK145
and creek cd42, DNM cables, DOMO stands, Nitty Gritty BASIC...
I also love to listen to music while underway, so I got myself a portable audio system:
iPod w/ iMod & Rockbox
• RSA "The Hornet"
• Ultimate Ears UE-10 Pro
• Yuin PK1
and interconnections made by ALO and Qables...
