The Green Spaces and Environmental Protection Department is the point of contact when it comes to nature protection, climate protection and environmental protection and for overlapping ecology questions and problems. The environment advice section in the Planning –Building-Environment Customer Centre is a competent point of contact in Town Hall 3 in this regard.
In its capacity as the lower landscape, water, waste and emission protection authority, the department is an important point of contact for companies in Muenster. The comprehensive service provided by the around 200 members of staff is supplemented by the cemetery and forest administration, caring for the green and sport spaces and planting and cultivation of approx. 100,000 trees in urban spaces.
