Don’t be surprised if Pablo Picasso is suddenly at your feet. In Münster, art is not restricted to museums - it is also at home in public spaces.

Every ten years internationally renowned artists turn Münster into the mecca of the worldwide art scene as part of the Skulptur Projekte Münster - and many of their works have become part of the urban landscape. But that doesn’t mean that in Münster art lovers have to spend all their time outdoors: we naturally have museums, too - and what museums! The Pablo Picasso Art Museum, the LWL State Museum of Art and Art History or the Museum of Lacquer Art: if you want, you can spend hours - days, even - in these alone.
