We are working on making Münster more widely known with its many facets - regionally, nationally, and internationally. Furthermore, we provide all who live in Münster or visit Münster with practical information.

One of our paramount duties is to make Münster known regionally, nationally, and internationally. We are achieving this based on brochures and publications for various target groups: for example with the convention brochure for the organisers of conferences and conventions with a hotel index for all visitors, or with the novel academy city map for students, scientists, and other persons interested in science.
But we are also positioning important Münster-related subjects in the media based on extensive advertising campaigns, such as the application for Cultural Capital in 2004, the LivCom Award in 2004, the anniversary of the bishopric in 2005, or the skulptur projekte in 2007.
With our supra-regional press and public relations, we address important media, concentrate subjects and information, and prepare them for advertising and PR purposes - also for the events and projects of our numerous partners that are glad to draw on our know-how, by the way.
“Classical advertising” is supported by the professional and up-to-date Internet presence of Münster Marketing.
Those who wish to obtain information on culture, life, and leisure in Münster don’t have to walk far. The “Münster Information” combines information and consultation with a good service. Information on tourist activities, sports, culture, events and exhibitions, sales and shipping of brochures, city maps, and bicycle touring maps.
Situated in a central position in the city centre, the “Münster Information” provides information also on other subjects such as waste disposal, family and social matters, urban planning, environment, and advanced training. Our service is supplemented by a “branch office” in the citizens’ hall of the historical town-hall, which is open also on Sundays, by the way.
In the “Münster Information”, the citizens of Münster and their guests can not only obtain targeted and competent advice but may also make personal expeditions by way of the information material on display.
