The award and its consequences
The award of "most liveable city in the world" brought Münster a lot of attention in the weeks and months following the win at the end of October 2004.
Joy and pride was felt by the people of Münster themselves, even if sometimes mingled with quiet Westphalian modesty and self-doubts.
This response was acted upon by Münster City Council who launched a marketing campaign in connection with the LivCom win. Now the "liveable city" is an integral part of the city’s marketing.
