Simple information from the register of residents
Third parties get information from the register of residents to a certain extent. You can get information about the
- first name and last name
- address
- doctoral degree
of a precisely defined person. As a rule, we need four identifying characteristics of the person you are looking for (e.g. first name, last name, date of birth, last address, sex) to be able to give you information.
The fee is 7 euros per information request even if your information request is not successful.
The City of Münster provides the following possibilities to obtain information from the register of residents:
- over the Internet (click here).
Payment: direct debiting system (account in Germany). The information will be sent to you per post; unfortunately, a response by e-mail is not possible. This is not a matter of an online retrieval in the sense of par. 34 (1) b of the Registration Act of North Rhine-Westphalia.
- in writing per post: Stadt Münster, Amt für Bürgerangelegenheiten, 48127 Münster.
Payment: direct debiting system; please do not send any checks.
- in person in every citizens' office or regional administration.
Payment: cash or by debit. You can take the registration certificate with you straight away.
- It is not possible to apply by telephone.
