Destinations
FMO airport offers direct flights to German destinations and major European cities such as London, Vienna, Venice and Rome with no stopovers. Some airlines also fly directly to holiday destinations such as Palma de Mallorca and Antalya. Passengers from Münster also have access to international destinations via the major airports in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich. Münster/Osnabrück is thus a convenient starting-point for journeys to New York, Cape Town, Bangkok or Sydney. Plans are afoot to extend the airport’s runway to 3,000 and later to 3,600 metres, with the result that direct flights to many intercontinental destinations will be possible in future.

Check in
Passengers on scheduled flights should check in 30 minutes at the latest prior to departure, while those on holiday flights should arrive at the check-in counter 90 minutes before the departure time. Directions
FMO airport is situated near the city of Greven to the North of Münster, approximately 25 minutes by car. Those travelling by car from Münster can reach the airport via the A1 motorway and the Greven exit. The airport provides parking for 7,500 cars.
Public transport: The S50 express bus service, D50 direct bus service and the R51 regional bus service transport passengers between Münster's main railway station and the airport terminal. Taxi firms and airport shuttles are also available for use.
